Law Enforcement Data Sharing Agreement
Subject to certain exceptions, legal jurisdiction means that forces can exchange information. Within the scope of legal jurisdiction, there is a specific legal power, but no obligation to share police information with another party. When exchanging information within the framework of a legal power: the national SIS are mandated by an NPCC official and the agreements concern their national police coordination committee or portfolio. The exchange of information between law enforcement authorities has increased significantly at all levels of government and has strengthened the capacity of law enforcement authorities to detect, prevent and respond to terrorist acts. The exchange of law enforcement information is not an integrated process. On the contrary, it cuts business processes in several communities and at all levels of government. But these seemingly incoherent efforts have a lot in common.
